HORIZONS
Horizons is predominantly an art photography book, with specially commissioned texts and poetry focusing on voyages and what inspires one to travel. The book is divided into different chapters each exploring different topics such as solitude and endangered cultural diversity. Each chapter’s namesake is illustrated with images selected from international artists and accompanied by commissioned texts. Andre Aciman, Jean Baudrillard, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Aminatta Forna, Alvaro Mutis, Mario Vargas Llosa and Adam Zagajewski write the texts.
Artists included are: Aniu, Michael Ackerman, Olivo Barbieri, Jonas Bendiksen, Edward Burtynsky, Kyungwoo Chun, Gilbert Garcin, Andreas Gursky, Sun Hongbin, David Maisel, Trent Parke, Alex Prager, Thomas Struth, Flore-Ael Surun, Mitra Tabrizian, Kimiko Yoshida, among others.
